Kinfolk

This week I will have the pleasure of being one of the first stores in Australia to have Kinfolk magazine on their shelves! A collaboration of 60 writers, artists, photographers, florists and film makers coming together to create this gorgeous 144 page magazine. Kinfolk is a growing community of artists with a shared interest in small gatherings.  They recognise that there is something about a table shared by friends, not just a wedding or once-a-year holiday extravaganza, that anchors our relationship and energises us.  They have come together to create Kinfolk as a collaborative way of advocating the natural approach to entertaining.
Every element of Kinfolk - the features, photography, and general aesthetics - consistent with the way they feel entertaining should be: simple, uncomplicated, and less contrived.  Kinfolk is the marriage of appreciation for art and design and love for spending time with family and friends.

Kinfolk is a quarterly publication and is more than a magazine it is a beautiful coffee table book to remind us all that in a time where we all communicate to frequently via facebook, text messages, twitter and emails that we need to take time to sit, talk, share beautiful food and feed the soul!
